For the fifth year, British Land took part in the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Bag It. Beat It.’ campaign. The campaign helps raise money to fund heart research to help children fight congenital heart disease.
27 British Land shopping centres took part collecting 4,400 bags and raising £6,522 in cash donations altogether worth up to £94,522 for the charity.
Jo Hammond for British Land, said: “We are delighted to have supported the British Heart Foundation for a fifth year, raising a potential £94,522 which will this year go towards supporting babies and children in the fight against congenital heart disease. ‘Bag It. Beat It.’ is a fantastic initiative which helps to raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation and heart disease, reaching a far wider audience through retail assets across the UK. Every bag donated goes towards funding life-saving heart research, helping more than 40,000 young babies and children.
“We would like to thank all of our generous customers and employees who have helped to make the initiative so successful and we look forward to supporting the cause again next year.”
