Some of the participants of a charity sleep
out at Parkgate Shopping in aid of SAFE@LAST were
wide awake when they presented a giant cheque to
the South Yorkshire based charity for runaway homeless
children.
The event in late 2007 attracted local celebrities
and entertainers, and “sleepers” included
many Parkgate staff. As well as raising valuable funds, the event drew attention
to the danger and plight of vulnerable children under 16 who have run away from
home.

Arrangements are well in hand for the 2008 Sleep Out, which promises to be even
bigger and better.
