Pets
Set To Move Up In The World
Pets at Home, the UK’s leading
pet care retailer, is moving to a £400,000
new home in Rotherham. The store which
has been closed since the summer due to
flood damage, is moving into a brand new,
state of the art store on Parkgate Shopping
on Friday 15th February .
The move to the new store will be led by current
General Manager, Kim Uttley.
As with all Pets at Home stores, the new Rotherham
store will provide customers with a spacious,
clean and modern shopping environment offering
more than 4,500 ‘pet-tastic’ products
all under one roof. The animal magic
that people expect from Pets at Home will still
be in abundance – from rabbits to gerbils
and stick insects!
The new and improved Pets at Home store in
Rotherham will offer an even better animal
kingdom, catering for a wide variety of dogs,
cats, small animals, birds and fish. The
store will be an Aladdin’s cave of pet
supplies including food, bedding, housing,
healthcare and accessories.
Kim expects business to be booming at the
new store in Rotherham, especially after the
success at stores across the UK last year.
So far in 2007 Pets at Home sold enough dog
leads and collars to stretch from London to
Nice. They also sold 2.5million fish, which
is equivalent to the population of the United
Arab Emirates and a whopping 30million litres
of cat litter was sold, which is enough to
fill ten pints for every person living in Denmark!
Kim comments: “We have a very
strong customer base here in Rotherham and
whilst it’s always a wrench to leave
any home, our new store will certainly dazzle
customers and pets alike.
The new store provides us with much more space
so we’ll be able to offer our customers
a greater range of pet products. Whether you
are looking for food, toys, clothing, bedding
or something a bit quirky, Pets at Home has
the most fantastic range and choice. Our expert
team will also be on hand to offer the best
advice for you and your pet, on any matter – from
nutrition to toilet training.”
“We are passionate about animals and
that is evident to everyone who visits our
new store. People don’t just come to
shop; they come to share the Pets at Home experience – and
we can’t wait to welcome back our customers
and their pets into their new Pets at
Home!”
