Parkgate to host the 5th “Big Sleepout” on October 21
Safe@Last, the south Yorkshire based charity for runaway homeless children, has announced its fund raising “sleep-out” programme for autumn 2011. For the fifth consecutive year one of the main events will take place on Parkgate Shopping on Friday October 21.
During that evening and night hundreds of local celebrities, supporters and members of the public will converge on the Park to bed down for the night and raise thousands of pounds for this worthwhile charity. As well as raising valuable funds, the event draws attention to the danger and plight of vulnerable children under 16, who have run away from home.
