Millers visit Parkgate on September 1 with plenty of prizes on offer

Rotherham United and Parkgate Shopping have joined forces with Best Buy to host a footballing skills event outside the Best Buy store at Parkgate between 1pm and 3pm on Thursday September 1.

The event, supervised by team members and representatives from Rotherham United Sports Trust, will give youngsters in particular an opportunity to meet the players and show their skills before they return to school.

There is also the added attraction of signed photos and prizes which include an X-Box donated by Best Buy, signed merchandise and the chance to win free tickets for a Millers home match.

“The Millers have started their 2011/12 campaign very promisingly, and we look forward to welcoming them onto the Park on Thursday (September 1) to meet their fans,” says Billy Smith, Parkgate’s Operations Manager.

He adds: “As one of the club’s main sponsors we work closely with the Millers’s commercial team, and this is one of several joint events to raise the club’s profile. We are very pleased that Best Buy, the major consumer electronics retailer who opened its major store recently at Parkgate, is also supporting the event.”
