Parkgate Welcomed For Neighbourly Contest         

During half-time of what was a very fiercely contested Carling Cup Round 1 game between Rotherham United and local rivals Sheffield Wednesday, the near capacity crowd gave an enthusiastic welcome to the new home shirt sponsor, Parkgate Shopping.

At a special presentation, Rotherham United FC’s Chairman, Denis Coleman (centre) and Commercial Director, Gary Hall (right) presented Parkgate Manager, Denis Copeland (left) with a framed picture enclosing the shirt. Denis Copeland comments: “The general consensus was that although Wednesday sneaked a win in a closely fought contest, the home team played with more skill and commitment than for some time. It was a privilege to witness the ten players sporting our shirts with such pride, and to see and hear the crowds cheering them on so vocally.”
