Flowerpot Kids Start
Their Campaign At Catcliffe
Year 6 pupils at Catcliffe Junior and Infant
School in Rotherham were quick off the mark
for their Rotherham Ready enterprise project
with Parkgate Shopping.
They will be using their £150 “Make £5
Blossom” loan from Parkgate for their
plant business.
At a launch meeting at the school with Parkgate,
the class agreed unanimously on the name of
the business – FLOWERPOT KIDS.
They chose the management team, allocated various
other responsibilities, and decided on various
promotional events during the build-up to the
sale.
“Their attitude
is terrific, and we look forward to some
really good results over the next three months” said Parkgate’s
Operations Manager, Billy Smith, who is liasing
with the school.
“Once the SATs
tests are completed in mid May it will be
all hands to the pump, or all fingers to
the soil” says Billy.
The photo shows
a group of the class with Billy outside the
school’s greenhouse publicising their
name.
