Currys duo tread enthusiastically
for Billy’s fund raising
Parkgate Shopping’s Operations Manager Billy Smith is a renowned fundraiser for good causes. His latest efforts show not only how much respect he has among the Parkgate retailers, but also his eye for an opportunity.
When he discovered that two members of the management team at Currys Parkgate were planning to run the Sheffield half-marathon on 27 April, he made a strong claim that some of the monies they raise should go to his 2008 charities. One of the main ones is Guide Dogs, where he is raising £5000 to train a Guide Dog puppy.
The photograph shows the importance Billy (far right) attaches to the fitness of his two benefactors (Steve Brown (centre) and Tim Weinberg (left) as he watches the two runners go through their paces on the treadmill.
