First Wednesday At Parkgate Reaches 500 Milestone For Bluebell

Parkgate Shopping Park’s monthly “Bag It Up” initiative with the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice reached its first milestone when the van took delivery of its 500th bag.

The collection, where shoppers bring their unwanted possessions to the Bluebell Van on Parkgate Shopping, takes place on the first Wednesday of each month alongside the Park’s Management Block.

“Our shoppers have been more than generous, but we want even more people to bring their unwanted items if we are to hit our target  of raising the equivalent of £10,000 for the Hospice during the first year,” says Operations Manager at Parkgate, Billy Smith.

He adds: “We have another 3 collections until the end of our first year, and we have got to double the amount to 1000. So we want shoppers to really clear out their wardrobes and garages over the next 3 months, make a note in their diaries of  Wednesday May 7, Wednesday June 4 and Wednesday July 2, and come down to the Park".

Shoppers are welcome to bring clothes, jewellery, toys, music, books are any other unwanted items, and spare Bluebell bags are available in the Parkgate Management and Security Centre alongside Marks and Spencer.
