The Miller's Players at Parkgate Shopping

Come & Meet the Miller’s Players at Parkgate Shopping

Come down to Parkgate this Friday (1st September) and get to meet some of Rotherham United’s First Team Squad.

Five Millers’ players along with first team coach, Matt Hamshaw will be here at 2pm to meet fans, shoppers and the local community. You’ll also have the opportunity to get their autographs and of course there’s always the chance of a selfie with them!

Also, if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to travel to away games as a player – you’ll get the chance to find out because the official Wilfreda Beehive First-Team Bus will be here and you can step aboard and check it out.

The bus will be situated in the main car park at Parkgate outside the Matalan store, with the players on board ready to sign autographs and have photos taken.

“We are pleased to join forces with two of our club partners in Parkgate Shopping and Wilfreda Beehive to offer fans this unique experience,” said commercial director Steve Coakley.

“Supporters can get an insight into how the players and staff travel to away games, whilst also meet the players during the back end of the school holidays.

“This is another great example of the club working with some of our key partners, whilst also reaching out into the community to give our supporters the opportunity to meet their heroes.”

Centre Manager, Janet Drury, is delighted to join forces with Rotherham United and also Wilfreda Beehive saying,’We’ve worked as a partnership for a number of years now with the Millers, and each year the relationship grows meaning we can try something new – this opportunity really is great for the local people as we have a strong community following around us and we’re delighted to be able to bring the fan’s heroes to their doorsteps.’
